service.

August 31, 2010

yesterday, i bought a bus,no. 132.

the bus captain was like really very rude.

not to me(luckily), but to an old lady, probably unfamiliar with singapore roads.

so this lady asked the bus driver, softly and politely,:” uncle, where do i stop if i want to go to hougang.”

she was taking the wrong side,

and the bus driver just shouted, rudely and loudly, at her

:” 搭错边!对面对面! ” ( ride on the wrong side! opposite,opppsite!)

i was like seriously dumbfounded. what kind of service is this?!

well, guess the bus captain wasn’t in a very good mood,so yea, hope these things will not happen again..

haha.

but today was an AWESOME day.

biology and patchwork!

Write a short story in the journey of a red blood cell in the body throughout the entire lifespan.

Hello everybody, I am Seshila, a red blood cell (also known as erythrocyte).I do not have a nucleus so that I can increase the capacity of haemoglobin and therefore oxygen. Thus, I can only live up to 3-4 months. Sad case, isn’t it? I’m of a flattened biconcave shape, which helps to increase my surface area to volume ratio, enabling me to absorb and release oxygen at a faster rate. Besides that, my elasticity enables me to squeeze through capillaries. So now, I will like to tell you how I am going to spend these 3-4 months. Here I go : I’m produced from a bone narrow. When I’m produced, I have to start working. I have to carry a tank of oxygen from the lungs to other tissues of the body. Well, you must be thinking how I carry oxygen? It’s simple. Basically, I contain haemoglobin, a reddish pigment, which binds reversibly to oxygen, allowing myself to take up oxygen in the lungs and release it to other cells of the body. Using all my effort to transport oxygen from one place to the other, it’s time for me to say goodbye. I’ll then be destroyed in the spleen. Haemoglobin is then released and broken down in the liver. Part of me, the iron from haemoglobin, will then be stored in the liver. While the other part of me will be bile pigments which will then be excreted in the bile.

haha. my biology homework. dont know if i should add anything else? hmm, any suggestions?

my mum had been saying that she wants to join patchwork lessons. i want to join her! but, not sure if i’ve got the time..

here are some awesome patchworks i’ve seen on the internet:

awesome!

Quotes.

August 5, 2010

Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

Grown-ups love figures. When you tell them that you have made a new friend, they never ask you any questions about essentail matters. They never say to you, “What does his voice sound like? What games does he love best? Does he collect butterflies?” Instead, they demand: “How old is he? How many brothers has he? How much does he weigh? How much money does his father make?” Only from these figures do they think they have learned anything about him.

-the Little Prince.

maybe, this is how parents care for their children.i wondered.

biology,chinese and amaths common test.FINISHED.

YAY.pray hard that i’ll do well for everyone of them( cross fingers*,please)

and yeah, the science project on making casein plastic,is finaaly over today.

we had a mini presentation in front of ms chan and nrs ng. well, the presentation went quite smoothly.,though we went overtime and that we couldnt one answer that they asked( how is casein plastic different from the normal plastic that we normally used) stunned, and i just said: casein is a biodegradable material( that does not really answer the question right?) but, it;s over, so i guess we just have to wait for our results. again, hope we do well(:

tommorow’s another exicting day.

performance and half day! yay!

the choir is getting more tense this few days, but i really hope it wont affect any choir memebers as we should just treat THAT DAY a learning experience for ourselves and not mull over it. choir,JIAYOU wor.(:
